Known for her style, Jennifer Lawrence will not only be a fashionista at next year’s Met Gala. The Oscar-winning actress will co-chair the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute BenefitThe Met Gala is set for May 4, 2015, and the theme will be “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.”

According to Vogue , the theme “will primarily examine how eastward-looking Westerners have understood, misunderstood, and appropriated Chinese culture in an exchange that Bolton likens to a complicated game of telephone (which the British call ‘Chinese whispers’). Drawing on more than a hundred couture and avant-garde samplings from designers as varied as Alexander McQueen and Laurence Xu, the cross-disciplinary exhibition will incorporate painting, decorative arts, and filmic representations of China.”

One of last year’s co-chairs is Lawrence’s co-star in both Silver Linings Playbook and Serena, Bradley Cooper.
Anna Wintour is the primary chair of the Met Galas, but there are also honorary event day chairs. Last year’s honorary event day chair was American businesswoman Aerin Lauder, and the year before that, the honor went to Beyonce.

Jennifer Lawrence won the affection of pretty much everyone when she tripped up on stage at the Oscars – and then fall over on the red carpet a year later. Her quirky personality means she always has fun with her co-stars on the red carpet – whether she’s pulling silly faces or pranking them!

And now her Hunger Games co-star Sam Claflin has spoken out about J-Law and described her in a pretty fab way.In an interview with Glamour magazine, Claflin said: “She’s this young, talented klutz who has won an Oscar at such a young age and has the entire world loving her.

“But she deserves every bit of praise she’s received. I can safely say that she genuinely hasn’t and never will let any of it go to her head.

“She’s an inspiration to me as much as everyone else and I’ve loved having the opportunity to work with her.”
Jennifer has been her usual silly self of late and bizarrely donned a beard when she pitched up for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Apparently that was her way of telling the world that she hasn’t actually grown out her pixie chop and is instead rocking some hair extensions.

Speaking on the show she said: “I couldn’t help it. I wanted to cut two for bushy eyebrows. Everyone is talking about how Jennifer Lawrence has grown her hair out a little bit, so I decided to grow my chin out a little bit.”

X-Men: Days of Future Past is expected to soar to a HUGE opening weekend at the box office, with early estimates indicating it could hit $115 million for the four-day holiday period.

The star-studded mutant extravaganza should easily outpace Godzilla ($41 million) and the new Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Blended ($17 million).

Neighbors should earn roughly $16 million for fourth place.

The #5 spot will likely go to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at roughly $11 million, slightly ahead of Million Dollar Arm at $10 million.

The Other Woman ($5 million) and Rio 2 ($3 million) should finish seventh and eighth, with Heaven Is For Real and Chef battling at about $2.5 million apiece

The Oscar winning actress tells the magazine that she expects the public to grow tired of her.

“Nobody can stay beloved forever,” she explains. “I never believed it, the whole time. I was like, just wait: People are going to get sick of me.

“My picture is everywhere, my interviews are everywhere,” she continues, “I’m way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I’m really hyper, most likely because I’ve been drinking, and I can’t not photo-bomb somebody if it’s a good opportunity.

But Lawrence says she is trying to hold back.

Jennifer Lawrence has been named the sexiest woman in the world, topping the annual countdown of the top 100 by FHM magazine. The Hunger Games actress has succeeded last year’s winner Mila Kunis, who has now slipped to sixth place.

Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan is the highest ranking British name, and is runner-up overall.

New presenter of ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid, shot up 66 places over the past 12 months to finish in 30th position.

And the broadcaster and food writer Nigella Lawson made her debut on the list at number 21. At 54, she is the oldest person on the list.

Jennifer, 23, who dates British actor Nicholas Hoult, has become a huge star on the back of her role as Katniss in the Hunger Games series, and landed a best actress Oscar last year for Silver Linings Playbook.

Dan Jude, the editor of the FHM 100 Sexiest supplement which is published with the magazine on Thursday (May 1), said: “She’s run away with the title this year and it’s no great surprise. Not only is she the most in-demand actress on the planet, but men the world over have fallen in love with her kooky charm.”

Michelle Keegan said of her success: “I’m so flattered. I believe that being sexy isn’t wearing lots of heavy make-up or having the perfect hair or figure – it’s about self-confidence, being comfortable with yourself, smiling and being happy.”

Model Emily Ratajkowski, who appeared naked in Robin Thicke’s video for his single Blurred Lines, is the highest new entry at number four.

Kate Moss, who turned 40 earlier this year, has returned to the list once again at number 42, and Countdown brainbox Rachel Riley is the highest riser, shooting up 73 places to number 17.

The biggest drop is for former X Factor judge T ulisa Contostavlos, who has plummeted from last year’s number 11 to this year’s 82.

The latest trailer for “X-Men: Days of Future Past” was released. The trailer is for the Japanese audience and it focuses on the action scenes-notably Jennifer Lawrence’s character Mystique.
The trailers for the international audience are obviously different from the American editions. The focus is on the actors that have global popularity. The action sequences feature the scenes at the Capitol as well as those which show the mutant’s powers. It is noticeable that the scenes that feature Jennifer Lawrence (as Mystique) has greatly increased. Lawrence’s popularity has increased exponentially since she won her Academy Award for Best Actress.
In an interview with EW, Producer Lauren Shuler-Donner talked about candidates for a solo spin-off movie, including Mystique: “There was a regime [at the studio] that didn’t see the worth in [spin-offs], and the current people who run Fox understand, embrace it, and we’re going to do right by it. I’d like to do Gambit. I’d like to do Deadpool. We’ll see. There’s a lot of really great characters.”
On special mention of course, “I feel like because [Lawrence] is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much opportunity if you were to follow her solo.”
Fox would do well to maximize the presence of Lawrence in their franchise. She is already the star of another franchise, “The Hunger Games” which already has two blockbusters under its belt.
Acting on Shuler-Donner’s cue, EW.com has conducted a survey among their readers on which character they would like to see in a solo flick. The results: “Deadpool (24%), then Gambit (21%), X-Force (19%), Storm (17%), Mystique (11%), and lastly Magneto (8%).”
Mystique may be low at this time, but she has a rich backstory to be explored, especially with her back-and-forth between being a hero and a villain (similar to Black Widow at Marvel). She may not have spectacular powers like Storm, but her colorful past which links to Rogue, Nightcrawler, Mister Sinister, Professor X and Magneto can be intriguing. Of course, most viewers would also want to see Jennifer Lawrence without the blue body paint.

A new TV spot for “X-Men: Days of Future Past” has been unveiled, and it gives us a new look at both Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Helmen – right before the latter gets pounced on, that is.

The Bryan Singer-directed “X-Men: Days of Future Past” follows Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) who, as seen in the post-credits scene of James Mangold’s “The Wolverine,” is recruited by Magneto (Ian McKellan) and a revived Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) on a final mission to prevent a Sentinel-dominated future where both mutants and humans are endangered. In order to accomplish this, his consciousness is sent back in time to his body in the ’70s, where he must reunite the younger versions of the X-Men, hence the return of Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and Lucas Till from Matthew Vaughn‘s “X-Men: First Class.”

The new TV spot is mostly the same footage we’ve already seen from the third trailer, but if you stick around until after the X-Men logo pops up, you’ll see some new footage of Mystique confronting Helmen, who makes his debut as a younger William Stryker (previously played by Brian Cox in “X-Men 2: X-Men United” and by Danny Huston in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”). We first see Mystique as she is teasing someone off screen, before it quickly cuts to another shot of a military man (who is presumably Stryker) getting his face acquainted with her foot.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is slated for a May 23 release date. Check out the new TV spot below!

Emma Stone is “grateful” for Jennifer Lawrence.

The Crazy, Stupid, Love actress thinks the Hunger Games star is a big inspiration and a good role model for young women because she isn’t afraid to be herself.

She said in an interview with Stylist magazine: “I just think she’s great isn’t she? She is so inspiring to me and I am so grateful that she exists in the world, as someone who is authentic and who has not bent to fit any idea of what a woman should be in that kind of position. And she is so talented.

“I am just so happy she is around for women everywhere. It’s just fantastic.”
